Synchronizing subscribers for a subscriber list from Salesforce

SNB Apps Campaign Monitor Connector for Salesforce lets you add contacts and leads from your Salesforce app to Campaign Monitor. Sometimes, however, you may want to synchronize the subscribers for your list from Campaign Monitor to SalesforceBefore you proceed, you must have installed the latest version of the Connector in your Salesforce org.

Using a custom tab, you can easily browse your Subscriber Lists within Salesforce. If you haven't already done so, you can add this tab by doing the following:

·         Navigate to Setup > App Setup > Create >  Tabs > Custom Object Tabs
·         Click the New button.
·         In Step 1, select Subscriber List for the Object drop-down, and choose your preferred Tab Style. Click Next.
·         Select your option for Step 2. Add to Profiles. Click Next.
·         Select your option for Step 3. Add to Custom Apps. Typically you would want to add this tab to your Marketing application. Click Save.

Now select a Subscriber List record you wish to synchronize subscribers against the subscribers in Campaign Monitor. You can do this by search, or by navigating to Subscriber Lists tab and browsing one of the list views on the tab.

Click the Refresh Subscriptions button. The active subscriber information will be retrieved from Campaign Monitor and will be populated in the Subscriptions related list.

After the connector successfully synchronizes the active subscriber information, the next screen will show the summary of the results, including the errors if any.

*        Note: Due to the limitations of the current Campaign Monitor API, you can only retrieve up to 1,000 records from Campaign Monitor at a time. If the selected subscriber list has more than 1,000 active subscribers on Campaign Monitor, the connector will process the first 1,000 records, and you will be prompted for confirmation for the next 1,000 records.

Click Done. You will see all the active subscribers are now retrieved from Campaign Monitor and created as subscription records under the selected list as below:

The synchronization also associates a subscription record with a relevant contact or lead record, using the email value. In the below screenshot, you can see the contact Rose Gonzalez is now associated with Sample List 2, using her email address,
